Progress is slow and difficult and sometimes you will get bitter about where you stand or jealous towards other artists (I'm still bitter and jealous to be completely honest), but you'll get better.  You'll get better resources and meet people who will teach and inspire you.  You'll get better at observing the things around you and putting them on paper.  You'll be great someday, but only if you keep trying. 

I've got a bit to learn myself.  Tell ya what; looking through my old notebooks to find that picture from 2011 was physically painful.  Someday I'll look back at my 2015 picture and hate it too, but that's okay.  It just means I'm getting better!

And if you are a young or beginner artist, here's my best advice: 
-Find artists you like.  If they livestream, always try to watch them when you can.  You'll learn a lot.
-Don't feel bad about using references.  Michael Angelo used references for literally everything he made.
-Understand what you're bad at and actively work on fixing it.  Poorly drawn hands are better than hands in pockets.
-Be lenient with yourself!  You're young and have a long ways to go.  You'll get there.
